Hello! My name is Emily Moen and I am a Certified Counselor in Washington state.  I received my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Francis Marion University (in South Carolina).  I have worked to support adolescents and adults for 12 years and truly love supporting individuals and families through their own unique journeys of life.  My previous work experience includes working with youth within the foster care system, supporting youth and their families partaking in intensive wraparound services to work towards mental and behavioral wellness, and providing crisis response and outreach within the community.  I currently work as a school based mental health support specialist where I support students and their families to achieve academic, social, and emotional success.  Additionally, I work for Washington State University as a Strengthening Families Program facilitator to teach youth and caregivers to have healthy boundaries, communication, and compassion to improve overall family functioning.  I am also a trauma informed Breathe For Change Yoga instructor for youth and adults.  I played DII softball in college and enjoy the opportunity to work with athletes and the unique experiences that come along with competitive sports.  I tailor my particular focus to the needs of my clients. I believe that every individual possesses the strength and potential to work through life problems.  My hope is to partner with you and support healthy strategies that will help you achieve your goals.
